He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry L. May and Ann May (Page); his son Michael May; and his siblings, Robert May, Richard May, Shirley Huchins and Eleanor Webster.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth A. May (Parsons) of Spofford; his sons, Peter J. May of Mobile, AL, Daniel L. May Spofford and Timothy A. May of Vernon, VT; and his siblings, Edward May of Albuquerque, NM, William May of Keene, NH, James May of Colorado, Marjorie Clark of Spofford and Carol Renaud of Manchester, NH. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
