He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur D. Dempsey, Sr. and Eleanor F. Dempsey (Leavey); his sisters, Frances Hudson and Lillian Meyer; and his son Fred.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy, Anne Swinton and Jareka Dellenbaugh-Dempsey; and his grandchildren, Russell Swinton, Matthew Swinton, Sarah and Hannah.
