He was predeceased by: his parents, Judson Files and Marjorie Files; his former wife Carolyn Files; his son Dirk Files; and his brother Judd Files.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Files; his children, Wendy Files of South Windsor and Aric Files of Windsor Locks; and his brother Peter Files (Margaret) of East Windsor.
