It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen B. Ayers of Jaffrey, New Hampshire, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Keenan Backstrom and Melvin Backstrom; and her brother Kevin. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Ayers of Monessen, PA; her son Aaron Ayers (Meghan); her granddaughters, Anna and Emma; her great grandchild Ashley Kowitz (Jason); and her sisters, Marie Jo Thum of Mountain City, TN and Celeste Hassler of Rossmoor, CA. She is also survived by husbands, her wo brothers-in-law and four nephews, as well as many friends.
