He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Henry and Nancy Smith (Fish); his son Michael Smith; and his siblings, Henry Smith, Gertrude Pierce, Evely Collins, Charlie Smith and Norma Holden.

He is survived by: his sons, Theodore Smith of Idaho, Timothy Smith of Idaho and Jacob Smith of Jaffrey; his significant other Janice Pritchard of Jaffrey; his siblings, Donald "Jimmy" Smith of Florida and Flora McLain of Connecticut; and also Jessica.
