He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Whitaker and Hilda Whitaker (Cooper); his sister Marcia Chapman; and his son Eric Whitaker. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Louise (Bothel); his grandchildren, Andrew, Elliott (Kristi), Spencer, Nathaniel (Rosie), Maxwell (Melody), Colette (Nathanael), Noel, Jennifer (Matt), Meredith, Madeleine, Cameron, Bradley and Samuel; and his great grandchildren, Landon, Mila, Zoe, Ryu, Mei, Kaiden and Bowden.
