He was predeceased by: his wife Mary A. (McGrath); his son Garry McGourty; his parents, Lawrence McGourty and Clara McGourty (Kiley); and his siblings, Lawrence McGourty, Ellen Belden, William McGourty and Dorothy Goslin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Paula McGourty (Larry Herring) of Clifton, VA and Marcia Powers (Stephen Gallagher) of Hudson, NH; his grandchildren, Derek Powers of Wilmington, Christine Mendonca (Jason) of Pelham, NH and Michael Herring (Jordan) of Petersburg, VA.; and his great grandchildren, Garry, Derek, Jayden, Paige, Brandon, Abraham, Francesca, Simkha, Eleanor, Sebastian and Yokhanan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
