He was predeceased by: his parents, John Macek and Stella Macek (Paone). He is survived by: his son Daniel C.; his daughter-in-law Amber Macek of Lyndonville, VT.; his son Nicholas A. Macek of West Hollywood, CA; his grandchildren, Haleigh B. Gould, Ashton T. Gould and Greyson C. Macek; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Finlay-Hamilton (Robert) of Groton and Thomas DiPirro (Nancy) of Plaistow, NH; and his cousins, Joy Piecuch (Cunningham) of Haverhill, Chuck and Stephen Paone of New Hampshire. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Association of Broadcasters, a member of the Massachusetts Bar, several local chambers of commerce and the Greater Haverhill Board of Realtors, and donated his time to many other local community associations.
