She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent James and Myrtle Gertrude Brown (Parker); her sons, Stephan Barber and Thomas Barber; and her sisters, Gertrude Sulham, Vivian McLeod, Barbara Rogowski, Elizabeth Bancroft and Patricia Brown.
She is survived by: her daughter Cheryl Barnes of Concord, NH; her grandchildren, Meghan, Katherine, Sarah (Matt) and Tadd; and her husband James Barber. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Verna's family requests donations in her name to be made to the Humane Society of one's choice.
