He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Horace Allen and Elizabeth Hoisington Barton; his wife Cynthia (Hodgson) of Hanover, NH; his sister Maida Barton Follini of Nova Scotia; his children, Margaret H. Barton (late David Sawyier) of Chicago, IL, Alice Barton of Austin, TX, Linda Barton of Stoughton, MA, Frederick Barton of New York, NY, Susan Barton Young (Carl) of Auburn, ME, William Barton (Florence) of Concord, MA and Allen Barton (Tiffany); his brother Allen of Chapel Hill, NC; his daughter Nancy of Greenwich, CT; and his stepchildren, Pam and Sam. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
