He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald O. Nylander and Barbara Gould Nylander; his wife Roberta Daly Nylander; his son Michael J. Nylander; his daughter-in-law Pennie Barrett Nylander; his daughter Elizabeth Nylander Lent; his son-in-law Stephen Lent; and his siblings, Robert H. Nylander, Richard C. Nylander and Karen E. Nylander. He was also cherished by six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
