He is survived by: his wife Mabel Gale of Hancock; and his stepchildren, Diane, Kenneth Hitchcock of Keene, Bonnie, Griffith Royea of Westmoreland and Kevin Conway of Milford, CT..

“Bernie was a well loved member of our extended family. We knew him from his and Marian’s summer visits to Cape Tormentine, NB, Canada for many, many years. He joined in with our family events, always happy and laughing, whether it be a trip to the beach, bonfires with marshmallows, getting vegetables from our garden or going lobster fishing with Edward (who has already passed-maybe they are meeting again). He was loved and will be dearly missed by all. Marion, Brenda, Karen and Shelley Dean”
