He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Rickard and Lillian Rickard (Messer); and his sister Dorothy Doxter. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Rickard (Perkins) of Newport; his children, Cathleen (John Pearsall) of Milford, NH and Kevin Rickard (Elaine) of Sunapee; and his grandchildren, Juliet, Bethany Pearsall, Benjamin and Suzanne Rickard.
