He was predeceased by: his parents, Sydney Swett and Katherine Swett (Attwood); his former wife Janice Swett (Green); his son Karl Swett; and his siblings, Barbara Halbedel and Sydney Swett Jr..
He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Grillo (Robert) of Springfield, MA.; and his sister His. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
