It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard B. Pinney of Greenland, New Hampshire, born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, who passed away on November 4, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Pinney and Eva Littlefield Pinney; his brother Frank Pinney; his children, Laurel Brown and Theodore Pinney; and his friend Brad Conner.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Pinney (Arendt); his sister Barbara Nevins; his daughters, Joanne Pinney Buell and Karole Smith; his grandchildren, Darcy (Matthew Gallucci), Meghan (Joseph Michaels), Kyle (Lynn Griffin), Nathan Griffin (Julie Scagaliotti) and Benjamin (Brianna Brown); his great grandchildren, Kyle, Colby Griffin, Eva, Mazie Gallucci, Hunter, Veronica Griffin, Colin Michaels and Macklin Brown; his great great grandchild Raya Griffin; and his friend Tom "Tomcat" Connors.

In lieu of flowers, if you are so inclined, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

“When I knew “Dicky” he was a young man working in the Sherburn Store across from the Elementary school where I was a young student. In my many walks to that store for popsicles, penny candy etc I was treated so warmly by Dick who always had a minute or two no matter how busy the store was. It had a good part in the happiness of childhood. In later years I enjoyed knowing Tootie who graduated with me and remember Putsey buying an old Chevy from my mother. Deepest sympathy to all”
