We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2024, at the age of 80, Elaine A. Effman of Grantham, New Hampshire, born in Old Mystic, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Allen E Avery and Lydia B Avery; her husband David Effman of Groton; and her daughters, Ellen Johnston (Clinton) and Rebekah Spotts (James).

Her family asks that donations be made to Poquonnock Bridge Baptist Church in her memory, or that you simply put a smile on someone's face by being kind to them.
