We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2021, at the age of 89, William Hewitt of Grafton, New Hampshire, born in Boston, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Hewitt (Anderson) and Emerson R. Hewitt; his wife Laura Hewitt; his sons, Duane Hewitt, William Hewitt, Jay Hewitt of Attleboro, MA and Bruce Hewitt of Lebanon, NH; his grandchildren, Jeremy Hewitt of East Providence, RI, Joseph Hewitt of Attleboro, MA and Katie Hewitt of North Attleboro, MA; his sister Elizabeth Wooday of Edgewater, MD; and his nieces, Lauren Silex of Baltimore, MD, Leslie Shoenhard of Ocean View, DE and Lois Byrd of Highland, MD. He was also cherished by many great-grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 P. M. All planning to attend should wear masks and respect social distancing.

“Bill’s passing makes Easter even more real to me. He plowed our driveway our first winter here. He observed my pregnant self trying to push a wheelbarrow and called to offer his tractor. He helped us dig out our first garden bed with that tractor. He stopped by on his cart with his dog to chat anytime we were outside.
