He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Gilbert and Mildred Gilbert (Lafferty); his wife Shirley Gilbert (Guilmette); his son Christian Gilbert; and his sister Janice Mohler.
He is survived by: his brother-in-law Roger; his son Fred S. Gilbert (Jennifer) of Gorham; his brother Larry Gilbert of Brooksville, FL; his daughter-in-law Jill Foote-Gilbert of Gorham; his goddaughter Wendy Gilbert of Gorham; his grandchildren, Makenzie Gilbert, Christopher Foote, Katelyn Chase and Evan Gilbert; and his great grandchild Bentley Lawrence. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
