He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Poehlman and Barbara Poehlman (Story); his wife Joan Poehlman (Kelley); and his daughter Emilia Poehlman.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the French & Rising Funeral Home (17 S Mast St, Goffstown, NH 03045). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM.

Memorial donations can be made to the Mount Kearsarge Indian Museum Endowment Fund https://www.indianmuseum.org.

“Stephen's mother and mine were best friends, and Stephen's father was my father's cousin. My great-grandmother was a Poehlman. When we were in the 7th grade our mothers fixed us up to go to a school dance together. The "date" was not the greatest, but we survived and returned home as friends. In 1960 My family moved from NH to CT, so we saw old friends and family less often. Please know I'm thinking of you and sending my love. Priscilla Schoepf Jackson (860)987-3125”
