He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Callahan and Jean Marie Callahan (Haker); his wife Lydia Callahan (Boggess); and his brothers, Bobby and Ricky.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Callahan (Fawn) of Manchester, John Callahan, IV of Manchester, Amie Ortiz (Jimmy) of Derry, NH, Courtney of Cambridge, MA and Andrew Girard (Kimberly Ann Wiechert) of Portsmouth, NH; his grandchildren, Alyssa, John V. "Jojo", Lysander, Lisa, Jr., Liam and Kyra; and his sisters, Janice and Gigi.
It has been suggested that donations can be made to the Manchester Animal Shelter in memory of Mr. Callahan because he loved his two cats, Sadie Mae and Salem, his bird, Rudy and dog, Shadow.
