He was predeceased by: his parents, John Maynard and Nettie Maynard; his brother John Maynard Jr.; and his brother-in-law Samuel Elder. He is survived by: his wife Janet (Shepardson); his children, Daniel Nelson Maynard (Nataliia) of Stowe, VT and Dianne Maynard Christensen (Lawrence) of Rochester, NY.; and his sister Sylvia Elder of Annapolis, MD. He is also survived by nieces and grand nieces and nephews.
