She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Willard and Dorothy Cleaveland Bodwell; and her son Theodore (Brenda Jackson Clark). She is survived by: her siblings, Harold, Joan, Dorothy, Willard and Daniel; her husband Donald Howard Clark; her children, Rebecca (Ronald Edmiston), Deborah (Wolfgang Liskow), Martha (David Faucher), Lucinda (Patrick Marcoux), James (Barbara Bleakely Clark) and Dorothy (Scott Kenneson); and her sisters, Joanie and Dolly. She is also survived by seven children, eighteen grandchildren, and 39 great grandchildren.
Silla supported many worthy causes; it was important to her that after her death her body be donated to Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine for education and research.
