She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, David Rheume and Mary Rheume (Hayes); her husband Francis Merchant; her children, Lynn Hodgdon and Shawn Hodgdon (Kelly) of Concord; and her siblings, Salley Howe, Russell Rheume and Michael Hodgdon.
