He is survived by: his parents, Ion S. and Margret T. Whitcomb; his wife Katherine Cooley Whitcomb; his child Stephen D. Whitcomb; his stepdaughters, Linda G. Diaz (William) of Tallahassee, FL and Lauri A. Eschenbrenner; his grandchildren, Kathryn, Kristie, Karey, Kyle, Tyler, Zachary, Tiffany and Christopher; his great grandchildren, Noah, Mia, Dominic, Zoe, Logan, Isabella, Haley, Charlotte and Adoree; and his niece Joy Thompson.
