He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Ballou and Dorothy Ballou; his siblings, Margie, Pauline, Alice, Robert, Ruthie, Janet and Helen; and his daughter Kim.

He is survived by: his children, George, Jr., Michelle and Danielle; his son-in-law Chris; and his grandchildren, Christofer, Keyana, Eric, Cody, Nautica and Dylan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and close friends.
