He initially settled into assisted living, but as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded, he moved to an apartment in downtown Exeter. There, Jill, his son-in-law Allan, and the invaluable Donna provided care and support, though the isolation of the pandemic took a toll on his social spirit.
