He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward C. Atwood and Carolyn Atwood (Corkins); his son Matthew Atwood; his sister Linda; his brother-in-law Wayne Sharp; and his brother Philip Atwood.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, David E. Atwood Jr., Emily Atwood and Alexandra Atwood; his grandchildren, Jack Charleston, Garrett Charleston, Kayden Broulliard and Layne Charleston; and his sister Deborah Atwood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
