He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dana Franklin Batting and Ethel Batting (Norris); his wife Susan Price-Batting; his children, Karen Batting, Brett Batting (Theresa "Teri") and Bridget Batting (Sergio Maldonado); his grandsons, Brian Batting, Kevin Batting and Tristan Maldonado; and his siblings, Peter Batting, Ann Ahlin (Batting) and Sandra "Sandy" Bray (Batting).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden in Boothbay Maine, one of his favorite places to visit.
