He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lewis and Lottie Clara Merrill; his wife Barbara Jean Lawrence (Keyes); his stepson Christopher Lawrence; and his siblings, Elsie Fife, Elizabeth Weston, Jennie Brooks, Joseph, David and Richard Merrill.
He is survived by: his brother Karl Merrill; his stepchildren, Linda Viens and Michael Lawrence; his stepgranddaughters, Nancy and Paula; and his stepgreat-grandsons, Calvin, Michael and Brandon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
