He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Merrill and Lottie Merrill (Wheeler); his siblings, Paul, Joseph, David, Richard Merrill, Elsie Fife, Elizabeth Weston and Jennie Brooks; and his granddaughters, Jennifer Ahearn and Jessica Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Elinor Merrill (Greene); his children, Frank Merrill (Susan) and Karla Brown (Brett); his stepsons, Leon Sargent (Deborah), Royce Sargent and Lloyd Sargent (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Kara Girard, Bradley Merrill, Jason Brown, Kyle Brown, Nathaniel Jones, Julie Sargent, Lynn Sargent, Lucille Sargent, Lloyd Sargent Jr., Marie Larson and Joseph Sargent; and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Alyvia, Kassidy, Karleigh, Conor, Collin, Benjamin, Levi, Charlotte, Jason and Avery. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
