He was predeceased by: his parents, Almon F. Charlton and Olga M. Charlton (LaPlante); and his sister Marie Moelter. He is survived by: his wife Bernice M. Charlton (Melanson) of Chichester; his children, Tom Charlton of Chester, VT, Didi Cushing (Ken) of Merlin, OR and Greg Doran (Tania) of Lunenburg, MA; his siblings, Guy Charlton of Benson, VT, Ben Charlton of Orwell, VT, Patti Carlisle (Joe) of Benson, VT, Bridget Stockwell of Fairhaven, VT and Mary Allen (Dave) of Castleton, VT; his grandchildren, Leah Wahl, Ashley McLaughlin, Cairsti Ely, William Wilson, Liam Charlton, David Charlton, Toby Charlton, Emily Doran and Eric Doran; and his great grandchildren, Effie, Charlie Wahl, Juliette, Derek, Scarlett McLaughlin and Andrew Eli. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
