Patrick Reagen Obituary

Patrick George Reagen, 76, of Nottingham NH passed away unexpectedly on October 14th, 2020 at home. He was born in Chicago Illinois on February 18th, 1944, the second of 4 children of Joseph and Mary (McClowry) Reagen
Patrick grew up in Chicago and would recollect about the jobs he had as a teen to pay his way through Brother Rice High School. His favorite being his ice cream bicycle and local grocery store. As a young man he held a variety of jobs, railway work, bartender, Ironworker which led to his career in construction management partnering in his own firm.
Patrick came to New England in 1985 to work for Gilbane Building Company in Rhode Island, spending the next 39 years dedicating his heart and soul to the company. In 2006 the Chairman said “ the hardest thing in our business is turning a job around that has gone south, but, if anyone can accomplish that, it is Pat Reagen” Throughout the years he worked successfully on all types of Schools, Pharmaceutical facilities and other large projects always giving the credit to his team. He was quiet about his accomplishments, but I would like to mention a few.
Gilbane awarded him Builder of the year for the New England Region twice, first in 1991 and then again in 2003.
In 1999 he received a Project Achievement Award for Hamden High School in Connecticut.
Of course if he were sitting here now he would be mad that I made so much of what he had accomplished, but I loved his stories of the project he was working on and the amazing ingenious ways he solved problems.
His work took him all over the East Coast, but he found time for his passion of flying. In 2001 we came to settle in New Hampshire. He retired in 2014, finally having the time to enjoy this wonderful state, getting involved with the Lakes Region Corvette Club, Abenaqui Golf Club and Chester Rod and Gun Club.
Patrick is survived by his sons Joseph Reagen and wife Abby of Lake Barrington, IL and their Children Christopher and Adam, and his son Scot Reagen and his wife Jessica of Sylvania, OH, their children, Kaitlyn and Kyle. His Sister Rita Athas and her husband Greg of Chicago IL, He was so incredibly proud of them and all they have accomplished.
I have lost my love and companion of 26 1/2 years. His love of life made every day a special one. He only remembered the good things never the regrets.
Nancy Reagen
