He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Shimer (Jenkins); his daughter Ellen Shimer-McGuire; his son-in-law Michael McGuire of Kingston, NH; his son Scott Shimer (Kim Shimer) of Deerfield, NH; his brother John Shimer (Nina Shimer) of Roxbury, CT; and his grandchildren, Alexandra Shimer, Cody Shimer, Curtis Shimer, Meadow Shimer, Logan Shimer and Xavier Shimer. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren, nieces and a nephew.
