He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold McElroy and Geraldine McElroy (O'Brien); his siblings, Harold, Eugene and Ellen; his grandfather John Edward "Jack" McElroy; and his great-great-grandparent Peter McElroy.
He is survived by: his wife Caroline "Fin" (Quinby); his sons, Peter Jr. (Vanessa) and Robb (Jen); and his grandchildren, Jack and Emma.
