She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Diedrich A. Ruge and Sophia A. Ruge (Wesselmann); her brother Richard Ruge; her son William McGowan (Karen Bishop) of Durham; her grandchildren, Leslie Ann and Thomas McGowan (Michelle) of Fredericksburg, VA; her great grandchildren, Thomas, Kevin and Matthew; her niece Diana; and her nephew Michael.
In remembrance of Florence's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
