She was predeceased by: her father Alden Joy; her son Dennis Jr.; and her niece Cicely Joy. She is survived by: her mother Rita Joy; her husband Dennis M. Burns; her children, Timothy (Carolyn), Jonathan (Kim) and Cathy (Jim); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Dandurand, Ryan Burns, Melanie Merrihew, Mara Bucardo Perkins, Sarah DeSerres, Nathan Burns, Samuel Smith, Kate Smith and Ben Smith; her great grandchildren, Eva, Olivia, Penelope, Isabelle, Soet, Julian and George; and her siblings, Richard Joy (Candy), Melissa Young (Paul), Michele and Jennifer (Steve). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
