He is survived by: his son Joseph Jr.; his grandson William; his wife Doris Legere; his daughter Mary Fortier; his grandchildren, Cathy Larochelle (Fortier), Lindsay Meyers (Fortier), Cheryl Fortier, Amanda Cole, Michael Fortier Jr., Lauren Fortier, Joshua Pickar, Luke Fortier and Molly Fortier; his great grandchildren, Maisey Meyers, Dexter Meyers, Lydia Fortier and Martin Fortier; his brother Norman Fortier (Audrey Fortier); his sisters-in-law, Gina Fortier and Kathleen Fortier; his cousins, Bob Peters, Kate Belanger (Peters), Debra Lepage (Peters), Candy Peters, Fran Mulligan (Peters), Gina Fortier, Robby Fortier, Billy Fortier, Cindy Merrill (Fortier), Joey Fortier, Josiah Fortier, Brian Bonneau, Susan Richey (Fortier), Kathleen Reed (Fortier), Laurie Perkins (Fortier), Christina Doucette (Fortier), David Fortier, James Fortier and Kori Fortier; his stepchildren, Lynn Golden (Legere), Cynthia Legere Perrault and Dennis Legere; and also, Jean Fortier (Kelly), Don Briand and Linda Sunderland. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
