He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Pond and Gertrude Pond (Hilton); his former wife Violet E. Pond (Fleming); and his siblings, Floyd E. Pond, Jr., Thomas Pond, Harold Pond, June Weave (Pond) and Shirley Pond.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Pond (Bolds) of Dover; his sons, John Pond, Jr. (Julie) of Somersworth and Christopher Pond, Sr. (Ruby) of Farmington; his stepdaughters, Kathy Howard (Philip) of Toccoa Falls and Joan Pelletier of Kittery, Maine; and his siblings, Alfred Pond and Marion Wilson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren.
