He is survived by: his parents, Catherine Beckwith Downs and James S. Downs, Jr.; his daughters, Catherine Downs and Rhiannon Downs; and his siblings, Darlene Downs Wilson, Scott Downs, Bonnie Downs Maxwell and Sheryl Downs Power. He is also survived by spouses; and many nieces and nephews.
