He was predeceased by: his wife Jeannette "Jay" Ackerman (Bedard); and his son Alan Ackerman. He is survived by: his parents, George Ackerman and Hilda Ackerman (Dyson); his son Randy Ackerman (Brenda) of Eustis; his grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Amelia and Ian; and his significant other Jo Bechard.
