He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John V. Smith and Dorothy M. Smith (Kothe); his wife Marlene Smith (Hamilton) of Dover; his son Charles Smith, Jr. (Susan) of Gilmanton; his grandchildren, Stacey, Jodie, Lindsay and Christina Smith; his brother Fred Smith (Terri) of Michigan; his former wife Geraldine Thurston Smith; and his son Richard Smith. He was also cherished by several great grandchildren.
