He was predeceased by: his wife Maureen Amaral (Stewart); his grandchild Shawn Michael Nelson; his parents, Joseph Amaral and Mary Amaral (Rodrigues); and his brother Joseph Amaral Jr..
He is survived by: his close friend Joanne Amaral (Gaspa); his children, Steven Amaral-Pearson (Joshua) of Sagamore Beach, Tammy Nelson (Scott) of Halifax, Kim Duplessis of Mendon and Wayne Amaral (Kendra) of Amesbury; his stepchildren, Debbie Walles (Bill) of Derry, NH, Keith Madore of Derry, NH, Bernard Madore (Chuong) of Derry, NH and Thomas Madore (Lisa) of Tewksbury; his granddaughter Amy Katherine Duplessis; his siblings, Daniel Amaral (Maria) of Ruskin, FL and Shirley Gochakowski; and his brother-in-law Frank Gochakowski of Longwood, FL.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
