She was predeceased by: her parents, Herve J. Simard and Jeanne R. Simard (Desilets); and her siblings, Lucille Long, Connie Simard, Raymond and Denis Simard.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Makar of Deerfield; her daughter Cynthia Szumiesz (Derek) of Manchester; her grandchildren, Zoey and Paige Szumiesz of Manchester; and her siblings, Lorraine Roberge, Celina Simard of Conway, SC, Maurice Simard of Deerfield, Edward Simard of Conway, SC and Andre Simard (Gail) of Goffstown. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
