He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Parenteau and Irene Parenteau (Burke); his brother Roger Parenteau; and his pets, Angie and Frodo.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Parenteau (Joncas); his son Jon Paul Parenteau of Danville; his sister Rosemary Lemay (Donald) of East Hampstead; his nephews, Evan Lemay of Oregon and Derek Lemay (Emily) of Dover; his great-niece Savannah Lemay of Oregon; and also Mya.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
