He is survived by: his parents, Alfred Bickford and Joyce Bickford (Allen); his son Aaron Bickford of Swanzey; and his siblings, Mary-Jane Bickford of Epsom and Mark Bickford of Loudon.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Howard's memory may be sent to the Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord, 94 Silk Farm Road, Concord, NH 03301.
