He was predeceased by: his father Edgar; his siblings, Vernon, James Towle, Barbra Preve and Carolyn Pedeare; and his son Russell Towle.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Sanders Towle; and his children, Ronald Towle, Ryan Towle, Roxanne Strong, Deborah Sanders, Scott Sanders, Michael Sanders and Roger Towle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
