It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Marilyn Tanny (Concord, New Hampshire), who passed away at the age of 94, on November 10, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Berridge (Goodwin) and Frank Berridge; her husband Burton Tanny; and her brother Dr. Frank Berridge. She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry (Spurr), Vicki (Whittemore) and Lauren; her sons-in-law, Phil Spurr, Mark Whittemore and Jim Wood; and her sister Marjorie Staudenbaur of Reno. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Granite State VNA or Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation would be much appreciated.

“Mrs. Tanny was so special for all of our children, Mary Jo, Jon, Kristen and Matt when we lived in Sandwich in the 1970's and she was their music teacher. She did a wonderful job getting them started in music and all of our children turned out to be musicians, two of them professionally. We are thankful for her still. Condolences to all of you who will miss her so much. Dean and Doris Roth”
