He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Hamel and Olive Hamel (Peasley); and his siblings, Alvin Hamel, Jr., Evelyn Saegart and Walter Hamel.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Jane Hamel of Buffalo, NY and Mark James Hamel of Spartanburg, SC; his grandchildren, McKayla, Megan, Scott, Tom and Alex; his great grandchildren, Landon, Mason, Jaylen and Haven; and his siblings, Nancy Kolsky of Hooksett, Olive Pelletier of Francestown, Raymond Hamel and Vernon Hamel of Hillsboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
