He was predeceased by: his parents, Mae Thornton (Van Lenten) and Randall Gray Thornton; his wife Cynthia Thornton (Davis); his brother Randall "Bud" Thornton; and his father-in-law Allan Davis.
He is survived by: his daughter Kelli Barrett (Brandon Barrett); his granddaughter Maci; his mother-in-law Joan Davis; his brother Richard Thornton (Yvonne); his brother-in-law Mark Davis; and his nieces and nephews, Katherine Maglia, Maureen Sinkiewize-Slate, Marsha Presmyk, Deborah Kelley, Pamela Thornton, Gregory Davis and Michael Thornton.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery (110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH 03303).
