Our thoughts and prayers... " - Julie & Buck View Sign Caroline Quimby, a longtime resident of Concord, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the age of 89. Caroline was born in Williamstown, Vermont on September 22, 1928 to the late Warren Towle and Lucille (Hutchinson) Towle. In 1951, she married Martin Quimby, Jr. They purchased a home on a beautiful piece of farm land on Fan Road in Concord where they resided until the late 1980's. Caroline enjoyed gardening and canning; she was an avid reader and loved all nature, especially birds. She was an excellent self-taught baker and cook. Her homemade bread and rolls were to die for and will be forever missed by many. Caroline worked various jobs throughout her life but found her niche selling Avon for many years, enjoying the company of her many customers. Caroline was predeceased in 1997 by her husband of 46 years, Martin; her sister, Erthalder Westover, and also her brother, Warren. She is survived by her children, Ross Quimby and wife, Carolyn of Webster; Lisa Powers and husband, Michael of Concord, and Darlene and husband, Brian of Eden, Vt. Caroline also leaves behind her siblings Glenda Yeaton of Canterbury, Sylvia Malone of Manchester and Dennis Towle and wife, Sylvia of Oconto, Wisc., as well as one grandchild and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name can be made to the Pope-Memorial SPCA, 94 Silk Farm Road, Concord, N.H. 03301.
